Will Smith is an actor, recording artist and author, whose acting credits include numerous block-buster movies.
On March 27, 2022, Smith, won an Oscar for ‘Best Actor’ at the 94th Academy Awards for his portrayal of the William Sisters‘ father, Richard Williams, in the move King Richard. What garnered the most headlines from the show, however, was the act of Smith walking on stage and slapping award presenter, Chris Rock, for making a joke about his wife’s hair, earlier in the show before he won the award.
Smith first captured the public’s attention during the 1980s as the Fresh Prince in the hip hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff and the the Fresh Prince. His popularity led to his acting debut as the star of the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. And the rest, as they say, is history.
