Actress Jackée Harry was born Jacqueline Yvonne Harry on August 14, 1956 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She began her career as a history teacher at Brooklyn Technical High School, but left after two years to pursue acting.
She is best known for her TV roles as Sandra Clark, on the NBC TV series 227, and Lisa Landry on the ABC and later The WB sitcom Sister, Sister.
