Deion Sanders, widely known as Prime Time, is a retired two sport professional athlete and coach. As a football player, he was named to the Pro Bowl eight times and won two Superbowl rings – one with the Dallas Cowboys and one with the San Francisco 49ers.
He made his Major League Baseball debut in May 1989 and played MLB baseball 9 years. During the 1989 season, he became the only player to hit a MLB home run and score a NFL touchdown the same week.
Sanders was named the head coach of the Jackson State Tigers football team on September 21, 2020 and, the following season, coach Prime guided the team to a record 11 wins.
