Beverly Johnson is a model, actress, author and businesswoman. Ms Johnson was the first African-American model to appear on the cover of American Vogue in August, 1974 and the first African-American model to appear on the French edition of Elle in 1975.

In 2012, Ms. Johnson was named one of the twentieth century’s most influential people in fashion by The New York Times. She is also the author of the 2015  New York Times Best Selling Book, The Face That Changed It All: A Memoir.
