Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1913, and was incorporated in 1930. Since its founding, the sorority has grown to include 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, West Africa and the Republic of Korea.
